The Asanteman Homecoming Project is a PILGRIMAGE concept, aimed at providing a means for all Asantes in North America and elsewhere in the Diaspora to converge in Asanteman in the summer of 2008.


Benefits of the concept include:

v Establish mutually beneficial connection between Asantes in North America and Asanteman in the Initiative Areas of Education, Health and Economic Development.

v Introduce the Asante Family Reunion and establish family ties between North American family members and distant relatives at home, especially for the Asante Youth.

v Introduce and establish sustained cultural education for the Asante Youth, and seek to promote the Youth’s contribution to the social and economic development of Asanteman.

Mr. Rex Nyamekye Poku will chair the Homecoming Project.
